The accredited IOSH Leading Safely course provides the health and safety knowledge business leaders and senior managers need. It delivers a unique, business-first approach to ensure candidates understand how to apply the course teachings to their business for maximum benefit. The IOSH Leading Safely training course was developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). This is a globally chartered body that creates training courses to promote high standards of health and safety in the workplace, with its accredited certificates recognised worldwide. Throughout the 5-hour course candidates will receive practical knowledge and solutions so that health and safety practices in their business can meet the highest international standards. IOSH Leading Safely also helps you evaluate your businesses’ current health and safety performance, while providing the skills to evaluate the businesses' ongoing performance and practices. Course Overview: IOSH Leading Safely includes 4 units of study: • Health and Safety Leadership- Your role and safety and health responsibilities. • Getting Health and Safety Right- Guidance on the effective planning and implementation of policies and workplace practice. • Incident Management and Recovery- Your responsibilities and the potential penalties for non-compliance with health and safety laws. • Personal Commitment- Your commitment to managing targeted plans for improving your organisation’s health and safety performance. Delivery methods: Virtual, classroom courses, or on-site training. Assessment: Candidates use a diagnostic tool to identify, review and assess their current health and safety performance. The tool recommends specific actions that need to be undertaken to make measurable levels of improvement to health and safety. At the end of the course, candidates make a commitment to a personal action plan that will improve their organisation's safety and health management. A certificate is awarded upon completion.
